Thorold, Ontario (June 1) – KC Auto Parts Victory Lane finally welcomed it’s first winners May 31st as Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series finally opened after several rain-outs. 

Second generation driver Travis Miller won his first ever Kart Feature after several of years in the sport. Miller – the son of former Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modified Driver Dan Miller went flag to flag in taking the Superior PetroFuels Original Pizza Logs Junior Restricted Flat Head 15 lap event. 

Other Burris Tire Feature action saw second generation driver Chase Kish, Kyle Phillips, rookie Joshua Hansen, defending champion Dylan Davidson, rookie Jorden Peters and John Matthews also earn initial wins in the Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Automotive Novice 1, Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2, Cassell Manufacturing Senior Flat Head and Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Divisions respectively.

Michael Brunton made a late race move to win the Superior PetroFuels Original Pizza Logs Junior Restricted Flat Head 15 lap event while Corey Bodman won his first Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Division 20 lap Feature of the new season. 

Other Burris Tire Feature action saw Chase Kish, Kyle Phillips, Joshua Hansen, Dylan Davidson, and Jorden Peters all winning their second straight events in the Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Automotive Novice 1, Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 and Cassell Manufacturing Senior Flat Head Divisions respectively.

Thorold, Ontario (June 15) – The third 2011 event for Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series found 4 Drivers making their first trips to KC Auto Parts Victory Lane June 14th in Original Pizza Logs Divisional Racing.

Thorold, Ontario (June 22) – KC Auto Parts Victory Lane continued to welcome first time winners June 21st as Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series raced against the weather. 

For the fourth time of the season, a Kish came out on top of the Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Automotive Novice 1 Division. Braeden Kish led the entire 8 lap distance to win his first Feature as a rookie in 2011. 

Veteran Dylan Culp won his first ever Superior PetroFuels Original Pizza Logs Junior Restricted Flat Head 15 lap event while Chris Watson won his first Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Division 20 lap Feature of the new season. 

Other Burris Tire Feature action saw Kyle Phillips, Joshua Hansen, Dylan Davidson, and Jorden Peters all winning their events in the Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 and Cassell Manufacturing Senior Flat Head Divisions respectively. 

For Philips the win kept him undefeated while Hansen, Davidson and Peters all earned their third wins. 

Kart Racing continues Tuesday June 28th. Gates open at 5 PM and Grandstand Admission is free and racing begins at 7:00.

Thorold, Ontario (June 29) – KC Auto Parts Victory Lane continued to welcome first time winners June 28th as Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series closed the month of June.

Jacob Wilson – a 2011 Rookie in the Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 won his first feature after taking the lead on lap 10 of the 15 lap Event. . 

In other Burris Tire Feature action - Braeden Kish, Brandon Ruch and John Matthews each won for the second time in the Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Automotive Novice 1, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 and Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Divisions respectively.

Thorold, Ontario (July 6) – KC Auto Parts Victory Lane continued to welcome first time winners July 5th as Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series kicked off the month of July.

Another 4th time winner was Joshua Hansen in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Division while Jacob Wilson won his second straight Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Feature.
